    • I am interested in working with the structural elements of painting to create an image that extends beyond the limits of picture. I use the wall as a large canvas extending the limits of the painting outside the frame. The painting in this way makes the viewer see the wall as a part of it.

    • Video is my canvas for exploring female identity, the natural landscape and performance art. My work is campy and poetic, beautifying the daily and mundane. I am interested in synchronicities between people and nature, the manmade, space and time. I feel that everything is interconnected. I invite the dreamer (viewer) to dream with me. In essence, my aim is to connect with the viewer/dreamer through the use of evocative objects (materials, props), installation pieces and performance art.

    • Like in a game, the first spot of color calls for a second one. An initial structure which renews, deforms and multiplies itself to take shape. Lines, nets, structures and shapes which build space and architecture within an amalgam of superimposing layers. Coincidence and decision, geometry and organisms, matter and energy mix and melt into an infinite nexus of possibilities. Intuition and spontaneity act together looking for a primary form, from which all others will born, within an anarchic state, where chaos will turn into order and every form will find its own place and movement. Cubes becoming organic by the gesture of a line; fortuitous spots turning into conscious beings; circles floating in the space; lines that unify and divide. Mental organisms, which grow and expand in their limits and borders, bringing us closer to nature, diluting the boundaries of perception, melting inside and outside. Forms which grow and morph in a shifting mental landscape. www.anaissenli.com

    • In my work I merge research in the field of Psychology and spiritual healing techniques (yoga, rebirthing, Reiki, tantra, shamanism…) with the different languages of the Modern Art (painting, performance, photography, video, installation art…). "Maga Producciones" is the logo created and patented in 2000 to represent my artistic works. It a personal view of the manipulation of advertising and marketing. I define my work as "products (artistic) to awaken the conscience". Within this line of work, and since 2002 when I had me Shamanistic Initiation with the Shuars in the jungles of Ecuador, I am conceiving my works as acts of psychomagic in the sense that each installation, paintings, photographic series or vídeo contains elements that heal some psychological or spiritual aspect of my personal evolution through a series of symbols and different actions relating to dreams, but at the same time I put my full will into making my creations a healing experience for the spectator identify with the images.

    • I'm an explorer in an undiscovered world, photographing hundreds of images, documenting all along the way. I attempt to capture all the beauty I see, so as not to forget, to share with others. But a "Created Universe" cannot be seen twice. Images are the only documents and proof that this world ever existed. In this sense, each series is based on a separate unique universe, usually in an image series of twelve. "Mini Universes" are mysterious places of light, grace and spirituality. The colors and shapes may vary from one to the next, but the same spirit exists throughout them all-the spirit of light that overtakes the darkness".

    • Steve Schepens has recently started a new series of works beside his known HORROR series (all previous works of the artist were entitled HORROR with an additional number or subtitle). Nevertheless, the idea of a contemporary man being lost in the labyrinth of meanings and icons as well as the impossibility for the spectator to find any access to the meaning of an artwork – keep on preoccupying him. Moreover, the intertextual nature of Schepens’ work, his fascination with philosophy along with high-brow and pop-culture receive even more obvious manifestation in his choice of titles. They are ironic and unexpected. At times, onlooker has to make a long journey through a sematic labyrinth to find the hidden Minotaur of a meaning.
